Lesley Doveton

                     

I am a yoga teacher by profession, living near Uxbridge in Middlesex.  I have been teaching classes for over 25 years since training with The British Wheel of Yoga,  I am also a Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals.

I love to practice, study and teach.  I have taught in a range of environments including special needs, pregnancy classes, schools and health clubs, chair yoga, meditation, yoga nidra and breathing classes. 

I teach hatha yoga - a practice of mind, body and breath.   My teaching is informed by my own practice as well as that of my students and I have benefited from some wonderful teachers. Always learning, I am influenced by a variety of styles and methods old and new.  I run weekly breathing and relaxation classes

As well as many specialist courses I have trained with Philip Xerri, Pranayama teacher, for many years

I am qualified as a teacher (PGCE) and have a degree in English, I have taught in mainstream education, run corporate staff training courses and worked on an education research project. I work part-time in higher education at Brunel University. I have a qualification in anatomy, physiology and massage.

I am very excited to share my love and enthusiasm for yoga and yoga teaching.  I am fortunate to have some excellent teachers and other supporters joining me as part of Dovetown Yoga School. 

It is important to me that the school as an ethos of inclusivity and that classes serve the local community.  I am keen to spread the word about yoga, emphasising that there is something for everyone. This comprehensive teacher training programme will cover all the aspects of yoga needed to graduate as a yoga teacher.  You will develop your personal practice and deepen your understanding of yoga to become equipped with the skills to teach what you know.

The key principle of the school and this course is to learn and share in a positive and nurturing environment.  It is important to us that our students feel supported throughout.  We will adhere to the highest standards and expect our students to do the same.
